In late August 2024, Microsoft began testing Xbox Game Pass Standard by adding a new option to the popular Game Pass Program. Xbox Game Pass Standard: Features and Pricing

The monthly subscription fee for Xbox Game Pass Standard has been set at $14.99 (249 TL in Turkey). In exchange for this fee, users have access to hundreds of console games, online multiplayer games, and special discounts of up to 50% on certain games. However, unlike Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, the Standard does not offer access to EA Play, Xbox Cloud Gaming, and PC games. Those wishing to benefit from these additional advantages will need to pay 309 TL per month for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

Game Pass Program: Complex Tiers and Options

Since the launch of Game Pass seven years ago, the program has become more complex with various tiers and options. Such a multitude of choices can be confusing for new users. Game Pass Tiers

• PC Game Pass (209 TL / month): This package, specifically designed for PC gamers, provides access to dozens of PC games as well as EA Play subscription without extra charge. If you only play games on PC, this will be the most suitable option for you.
• Game Pass Core (175 TL / month): An ideal choice for those who want to play online games with friends on Xbox, exclusively on console. It provides access to online multiplayer, special discounts on games, and free access to 25 games from the Game Pass library for a reasonable monthly fee. You can think of it as an enhanced version of Xbox Live Gold.
• Game Pass Standard (249 TL / month): The Standard tier is designed for those who want to make the most of console games without overspending. It provides access to hundreds of console games, special discounts, and online multiplayer games. If you don’t prioritize early access to Microsoft’s games, this option may be suitable for you.
• Game Pass Ultimate (309 TL / month): The Ultimate package, which is the most comprehensive offering from Microsoft, provides various benefits such as access to both console and PC games, Xbox Cloud Streaming, EA Play, special discounts, and early access to new releases. This package is an ideal choice for users who want to play games on both console and PC and prefer cloud gaming.
