New Update from KRAFTON: Uncover the Smoking Gun
ReLU Games, a subsidiary of KRAFTON Inc., announced an exciting update for the artificial intelligence detective game Uncover the Smoking Gun. With this update, KRAFTON’s advanced Text-to-Speech (TTS) model, DiTTo, has been integrated into the game. This technology is being used in a game for the first time and aims to offer players a unique experience.
DiTTo stands out as an innovative example of applying diffusion transformers to voice synthesis. It provides a more natural and flexible speech experience compared to traditional TTS technologies. The diffusion transformer is the latest artificial intelligence modeling technique that combines the step-by-step data generation process of diffusion models with the extraordinary relationship learning capabilities of transformers. This model simplifies the AI training process, enabling faster and more accurate generation of new voices. At the same time, it allows the AI to speak with a tone that closely resembles human voice.
With this update, the robot suspects in the game will now respond to players’ questions not only with text but also with voice generated by AI. This will significantly enhance the user experience. Currently, this feature is only supported in English, but there are plans to add other languages in the future.
- In addition to the eight previously supported languages, three new languages, Portuguese, Italian, and Polish, are being added to the game.
- Due to high demand, the game’s original soundtracks (OST) have also been released as downloadable content (DLC).
