New Details About Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra
Information about Samsung’s flagship model, the Galaxy S25 Ultra, which is expected to be released in 2025, continues to emerge. The famous technology leaker IceUniverse, the source of the leaks, claimed in posts on the social media platform X that the Galaxy S25 Ultra will be the thinnest and lightest premium flagship phone of 2025.
It is reported that the Galaxy S25 Ultra will be equipped with a lightly curved 6.86-inch screen that has the same width as the current Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max. However, Samsung aims for this new model to be lighter than its competitor Apple in terms of overall weight. According to the leaks, the Galaxy S25 Ultra will have a design that is lighter than the 221 grams of the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
Reportedly, Samsung has decided to use a thinner titanium frame to achieve this lightness. The predecessor of the Galaxy S25 Ultra, the S24 Ultra, weighed 232 grams, and therefore, even a weight reduction of just 12 grams could earn it the title of the lightest phone. It is emphasized that titanium is preferred as the main material to create a lighter structure.
Titanium allows for the design of a sufficiently durable body, despite being much thinner, thanks to its high strength per unit weight. Some leak sources indicate that Samsung will continue to use Grade 2 titanium for the back panel, which it has used before. Even small reductions at key points could lighten the phone’s overall weight enough to surpass the Pixel 9 Pro XL and the iPhone 15 Pro Max, thereby improving the user experience.
