Expectations for Samsung’s One UI 7 Update
Samsung is expected to launch the Android 15-based One UI 7 Open Beta program for the Galaxy S24 series next week in South Korea and the USA. Many details about One UI 7 have already leaked online. This new update is anticipated to bring significant design changes to Samsung Galaxy devices. Additionally, a leak suggests that the next version of One UI will include changes inspired in large part by iOS 18 and Xiaomi’s HyperOS.
A new leak has revealed some important details regarding the upcoming One UI 7 update. According to information shared through SmartPrix, Vetrox360 shared a new One UI 7 icon set following the leak of several redesigned icons last week. Apparently, One UI 7 plans to update all stock icons for applications such as Phone, Contacts, Settings, Camera, Gallery, Browser, and Weather.
The images shared by Vetrox360, the source of this leak, showcase the design changes of One UI 7. These images also include the revamped Quick Panel design of One UI 7, which features a more rounded user interface design. In the new design, the quick access panel is now divided into two separate sections: quick settings and notifications, allowing users to swipe left or right to switch between these sections.
At the same time, these leaked screenshots indicate that Samsung has improved its Continuity feature. It is claimed that users will be able to send video call notifications to nearby devices. This feature will allow users to continue their video calls by transferring from their Galaxy phones to nearby devices such as a Galaxy tablet or Samsung TV with One UI 7.
One UI 7 is expected to offer a vertically scrolling app drawer for Galaxy devices. Additionally, according to some rumors, the next version of One UI is said to include a feature similar to Apple’s Dynamic Island.
