New Close Sharing Feature on WhatsApp
WhatsApp is introducing a new close sharing feature to allow users to share files and content more quickly. Strengthen your connection with friends or family with this innovation and enjoy instant sharing!
New File Sharing Feature from WhatsApp
WhatsApp continues to develop new features to provide a better experience for both Android and iOS users. Currently, a file-sharing feature similar to AirDrop is being tested for Android users and is also in the testing phase for iOS users. This innovation will allow users to share their files much more practically.
According to WABetaInfo, in the latest beta version of WhatsApp available on TestFlight for iOS, a new feature named Nearby Sharing has been activated for iPhone users. With this feature, iPhone users can easily share files such as photos, videos, and documents with people nearby without needing an internet connection.
The Nearby Sharing feature uses end-to-end encryption technology in the latest beta version of WhatsApp for iOS. This means that only the designated recipient can access the content. However, it has been observed that it works somewhat differently from the Android version due to certain limitations of the iOS version.
- QR Code Scanning: On Android, WhatsApp can automatically detect nearby devices. However, iOS users need to scan a QR code to use the Nearby Sharing feature.
According to WABetaInfo, one of the most significant advantages of this feature is that it allows file transfer between Android and iOS devices. This innovation eliminates the need for another application as it enables users to share files easily between different operating systems, given WhatsApp’s usage by billions of people worldwide.
It has been noted that this feature has been seen in the iOS beta version 24.15.10.70, and not all beta users have access to this innovation. Currently, this feature is in the internal testing phase. Lastly, it should be noted that the feature is still in the development process and may undergo various changes before being made available to regular users. There is no clear information yet on when the feature will transition to a stable release.
