Sega team has revealed new details for the remake version of Crazy Taxi that will be presented to us, the gamers. With the details revealed in a new recruitment video, it has been confirmed that the game will have an open-world multiplayer structure.

New Crazy Taxi game is being developed by the Sapporo studio, established in December 2021, leading the development of various Sega games. This studio is working under Sega and aims to please the fans. In a newly published recruitment video in Japanese, producer Kenji Kanno, the director of the original Crazy Taxi game, and other team members share various details about the project.
According to the details announced in the video, the development team is currently trying to adapt the classic Crazy Taxi gameplay, where players deliver passengers to their destinations as fast as possible, to a multiplayer gaming world. It is also stated that the game will take place in a large city on the west coast of the USA and will have a map resembling a theme park.
Moreover, with the job postings for the project, we can see that the game is supported by the Unreal Engine. Finally, Sega announced at The Game Awards last December that new games for Jet Set Radio, Streets of Rage, Golden Axe, Shinobi, and Crazy Taxi series are in development.
