New Mobile Game Announced for Yakuza / Like a Dragon Series
According to X user Knoebel, a brand new mobile game called Yakuza Wars has emerged. A Facebook page related to this game has been detected, and it is stated that it will be officially announced in the normal course of the process.
Yakuza Wars: Bringing the Gangster Experience to Mobile Platforms
The game was introduced on a page that appears to be developed for Chinese players, with a short description and new visuals. The description states, “Sega’s first officially licensed Like a Dragon game will offer an innovative and classic gangster-themed experience for mobile phones. Additionally, it will include a strategic combat system.”
Mobile ads and a trailer for the game have also been released, but this content represents visuals focusing only on character drawings, rather than actual in-game footage. Last month, Sega filed a trademark application for Yakuza Wars; however, at that time, there was no clear information on whether this project would be a new major game in the Like a Dragon series or a side project.
In July, it was announced that the next game from Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio, the developer of the Like a Dragon series, would be a surprise. These developments increase fans’ curiosity, while there is great excitement about what kind of experience Yakuza Wars will offer.
