Tucker Carlson’s Controversial Podcast Episode Featuring Holocaust Revisionist Sparks Outrage
Tucker Carlson’s latest podcast episode featuring a Holocaust revisionist has ignited widespread outrage, raising critical questions about historical accuracy and media responsibility. Discover the reactions and implications of this controversial discussion.
Tucker Carlson Faces Backlash for Controversial Guest Appearance
Tucker Carlson, the former Fox News host who has transitioned into podcasting, is in hot water after featuring a Holocaust revisionist on his show. During the episode, the guest suggested that it was Winston Churchill, rather than Adolf Hitler, who should be deemed the “chief villain” of World War II. This statement has drawn significant criticism from both conservative lawmakers and the Biden administration.
The controversial remarks were made by podcaster Darryl Cooper on Carlson’s program “Tucker on X,” aired on the social media platform. Carlson, who has been hosting this show since his departure from Fox in 2023, introduced Cooper as “the most important popular historian working in the United States today.” This endorsement has only amplified the backlash against Carlson.
Throughout the episode, Cooper presented several misleading claims regarding the Holocaust and the events of World War II. He stated that millions of individuals in concentration camps “ended up dead” primarily due to the Nazis’ lack of resources to care for them, rather than acknowledging the deliberate genocide that occurred. Furthermore, Cooper asserted that Churchill, who was Britain’s prime minister during the war, was “primarily responsible for that war becoming what it did.”
As of Friday morning, the video of the interview has garnered nearly 30 million views, indicating widespread attention. Elon Musk, the billionaire owner of X, initially promoted the interview by calling it “very interesting” and “worth watching,” but later deleted the post amidst the growing controversy.
The fallout from Carlson’s decision to feature Cooper has prompted fierce outrage from the Biden administration, as well as from various factions within the conservative community. Representative Mike Lawler, a Republican from New York, expressed his dismay in a statement to The Jewish Insider, declaring, “Platforming known Holocaust revisionists is deeply disturbing.”
