Watch Dogs Movie Developed!
Ubisoft’s popular open-world action-adventure game series Watch Dogs is finally being adapted into a movie! Bringing the universe of the games to life as a film required a long process, but this time things progressed quite quickly. The filming of the movie lasted just over two months.
The development process of the Watch Dogs film, shot in live-action format, began in March, and filming continued at full speed in July. As of now, it has been announced that the filming is complete. In a statement from Ubisoft’s official Twitter account, it was noted that the filming took more than two months.
The main roles are played by young and talented actors Sophie Wilde (Talk to Me) and Tom Blyth (The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes). The screenplay was written by Christie LeBlanc (Oxygen), and the director’s chair is occupied by Mathieu Turi. Turi is also developing projects to direct a film based on Asobo Studio’s game A Plague Tale: Innocence.
As of now, no specific release date has been given for the Watch Dogs movie. Don’t forget to follow Ubisoft’s social media accounts to keep up with developments!
