Concord Game is Closing: Statement from the Developers
The Concord game is shutting down! Discover details about the current status of the game, the reasons behind it, and future plans for players through the official statement from the developers. Don’t miss this significant development in the gaming world!
Concord, published by Sony Interactive Entertainment and developed by Firewalk Studios, is preparing to say goodbye to players in a short time. This service-based, hero-focused shooter action game, which was released on August 23, will end its service on September 6.
Refunds are being processed for those who purchased the game
Unfortunately, Concord, which had a rather weak launch, did not meet expectations. Facing such an end after an 8-year development process is extremely sad for both the development team and its employees. After a challenging launch process, the teams decided to close the game while determining the best strategy moving forward.
Concord is currently available on PlayStation 5 and PC platforms. Even during the game’s busiest times, being able to reach only 697 concurrent players on the Steam platform is seen as an indicator of this situation. Game director Ryan Ellis states that the feedback received since the game’s release is of great importance and thanks everyone who joined the journey.
On the other hand, refunds are planned for users who purchased the game. So, what do you think about this situation? You can share your thoughts in the comments section.
