During the Call of Duty Next event, the development team announced that the original map of Warzone, Verdansk, which had a significant impact on the gaming world and is no longer accessible, will return to Call of Duty Warzone. This iconic map has been remembered as a beloved area among players.

Warzone’s Fifth Year Events

According to the announcement made during the Call of Duty Next event, Verdansk will be included in the newly announced smaller map, Area 99. Warzone was released on March 10, 2020, and the return of Verdansk in the spring will coincide with the game’s 5th anniversary. This special milestone is a great source of excitement for players.

Senior director of studio communications Stephanie Snowden stated, “We will celebrate the fifth year of Warzone this spring,” signaling that new developments are on the way. This will revive players’ nostalgic memories and offer an experience filled with new content.

On the other hand, the latest game in the series, Black Ops 6, will be released on October 25, 2024, for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, and PC platforms. Being a first-party Microsoft game, it will provide players with access to the Game Pass service from day one.
