Windows 11 Introduces Innovations with New Preview Version
Microsoft has released a new preview version, build 22635 (KB5041876), in the Beta channel of Windows 11, and this update brings significant changes to the interface.
One of the most interesting changes emerged after a researcher on the social media platform X drew attention to it. This change pertains to the innovations made in the Start menu of Windows. Below, you can see a post shared regarding this update:
As seen in the post above, the ‘All Apps’ section in the Start menu now has a category view. In this new layout, only application icons are displayed. Within the category sections, there are ‘app group’ icons that provide access to more applications. However, this part is not fully functional at the moment.
It is also noteworthy that the categories in the Start menu of Windows 11 have been restructured to resemble the categories used in the Microsoft Store.
Aesthetic Touches to Windows 11
With the update, it was also noted that media controls would be displayed at the bottom of the screen when audio content is played. The visuals related to the playing content are said to be shown with a blur effect. Lastly, to further enhance user experience, application suggestions (i.e., advertisements) will no longer be present in the Start menu. If a user does not use a specific application for a certain period, Microsoft will automatically disable these suggestions.
