New Feature from WhatsApp: Mark All Unread Chats as Read

A very useful feature that will facilitate users’ work has been discovered in WhatsApp’s latest Android beta update. This new feature will allow users to mark all their unread chats as read with a single tap.

The “Mark All as Read” option can be a great convenience, especially for users participating in multiple active group chats. Particularly in large groups where intense discussions are taking place, some messages may not catch your interest, causing unread messages to continuously appear when a new message notification arrives.

With WhatsApp’s “Mark All as Read” feature, users will be able to mark all their chats as read at once. This will save time by eliminating the need for users to individually mark or mute each chat.

The details of this feature were revealed by WABetaInfo in Android beta version 2.24.18.11. Currently in the testing phase, this feature will be located just above the Settings button. If you want to try out this new feature, you will need to join the WhatsApp beta program via the Google Play Store.

  • The new feature provides the ability to quickly mark all chats as read.
  • The feature will ease the burden on users in busy group chats.
  • It is being tested in the beta version and is expected to be available soon.
