The Stone of Madness: A Dark Journey

First announced in August 2020 and eagerly awaited, the real-time tactical stealth game The Stone of Madness will be released in early 2025 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch, and PC platforms via Steam and Epic Games Store, published by Tripwire Presents and developed by The Game Kitchen and Teku Studios.

The Stone of Madness is set in an 18th-century Spain, in a crumbling Jesuit monastery located in the dangerous and dark corners of the Pyrenees. This monastery serves not only as a place of worship but also as a mental asylum and houses the ruthless Inquisition dungeons. In this environment of captivity, five prisoners struggling with madness and despair come together to combine their skills and limited resources to confront their fears, maintain their sanity, uncover the deep secrets of the monastery, and find a way to escape.

Escaping from such a fortified monastery is certainly not an easy task. However, Agnes, Leonora, Eduardo, Amelia, and Alfredo are determined to regain their freedom. By controlling each character in turn, you can employ many unique and developable abilities such as casting spells, eliminating targets through assassination, distracting enemies, stunning evil spirits, and exploring hard-to-reach areas.

Explore your surroundings and combine your characters’ abilities to find clues and tools scattered throughout the monastery. But be careful; remember that if you are caught where you shouldn’t be, the guards will show no mercy.
