A new claim regarding the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim suggests that the existing 4MP sensor will be upgraded, and a higher-resolution under-display camera sensor will be used. The Galaxy Z Fold series has faced a lot of criticism due to the low image quality of its under-display camera, and it seems that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim has the potential to change this situation.

According to a report by GalaxyClub, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim may be equipped with a 5MP under-display camera. While this is a slight upgrade over the current 4MP sensor, it is believed to help improve image quality. Samsung first introduced its under-display cameras with the Galaxy Z Fold 3. This technology allows the camera section under the screen to be nearly invisible when the selfie camera is disabled.

With each new generation, Samsung aims to improve under-display camera technology, making the camera hole less noticeable and enhancing image quality. This camera upgrade is great news for fans of foldable devices. However, it is expected that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim will be exclusive to the South Korean and Chinese markets.

Additionally, there are currently not many details known about other camera features. In another rumor that emerged recently, it is claimed that Samsung may prefer titanium as the back panel material for the expected Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim model instead of the previously used stainless steel. Furthermore, according to earlier rumors, it is suggested that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim may not be as thin as its Chinese competitors.

It is also rumored that Samsung’s new foldable device may be released in China under the name W25. The Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim is expected to feature a larger 8-inch inner display and a 6.5-inch cover display. While it is not yet confirmed when Samsung will launch its new device, the fourth quarter of 2024 stands out as a reasonable estimate.
