Apple’s New Product Launch Event and Claims
According to Mark Gurman from Bloomberg, Apple is preparing for its fall launch event, which will take place at the beginning of next month. Gurman noted that Apple has a tradition of unveiling new iPhone models on the second Tuesday of September. This year, since that date corresponds to September 10 on the 2024 calendar, it means Apple might hold its event a bit earlier.
Gurman also stated that following the launch on September 10, the new devices would be available for sale worldwide on September 20. Details regarding the iPhone 16 launch event are still being kept under wraps. However, with media invitations starting to be sent out for the event, all the details are expected to come to light. It should be emphasized that since Apple has not made any official announcement yet, the dates mentioned by Gurman are not confirmed.
So far, leaks and rumors have shared many important details about the products that Apple will release this year. Major changes are anticipated for the iPhone 16 series. In particular, it is expected that the iPhone 16 Pro models will come with a new Desert Titanium color option. Additionally, it is reported that new color options will also be introduced for the standard models.
The iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max are expected to have higher charging speeds and possess the thinnest bezels among smartphones. Furthermore, it is claimed that the iPhone 16 Pro may be equipped with a 5x optical zoom lens, which was previously exclusive to the Pro Max models. There are also expectations that Apple will begin production of the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max models in India.
It is anticipated that the Apple Watch Series 10 will come with larger screens; however, some health features may not be available until next year. Gurman revealed that Apple is expected to introduce two new AirPods models with noise-canceling features. Additionally, another notable change will be the transition from the Lightning port to USB-C connectivity.
