Apple’s New AirPods 4 Models Are Coming!
Apple is preparing to officially introduce its new hardware next month, including the iPhone 16 series. As the event date approaches, rumors and speculation about Apple have noticeably increased in recent days.
Apple prefers to update the AirPods series every two years, and if it continues this tradition, the fourth-generation AirPods are expected to be unveiled at the September event. A new report provides some interesting details about the upcoming AirPods 4 models. Mark Gurman from Bloomberg noted that based on Apple’s past practices, the company plans to launch AirPods 4 with two different models following the AirPods 2 and AirPods 3.
Are Two Different AirPods 4 Models Coming?
According to Gurman, AirPods 4 will feature a base model that will replace the AirPods 2. Additionally, there will be a higher-priced version, which will replace the AirPods 3. There will be significant differences between the two models. The more expensive version will include advanced technologies such as active noise cancellation and wireless charging, while the entry-level version will not offer these features. Notable design differences are also expected between the two versions.
However, there is still no official confirmation regarding the naming of the new AirPods 4 versions. To differentiate the products, it seems likely that the lower-priced version may be referred to with names like “Lite” or “Slim.”
Another expected change is the replacement of the traditional Lightning connector with a USB-C connector. While the exact price of the new AirPods remains uncertain, it is possible to make some predictions by looking at the current product lineup. The potential models of AirPods 4 are expected to fall within similar price ranges as the AirPods 2 and AirPods 3.
Moreover, it is believed that the new mid-range AirPods 4 model will significantly close the gap with the AirPods Pro. This situation could bring the possibility of Apple making an update for the AirPods Pro next year.
