New information has emerged about the highly anticipated Star Wars Eclipse game, which was announced nearly three years ago. It was announced that the project’s lead writer Adam Williams has left the team. This change has raised concerns among players as it may lead to some alterations in the game’s narrative structure.

When Will Star Wars Eclipse Be Released?

Developed by the Quantic Dream studio, Star Wars Eclipse aims to provide a cinematic and story-driven gaming experience. The game features a structure where players can influence the course of the story through their choices. However, the change in lead writer may create some issues in storytelling, potentially negatively impacting the project’s progress.

In a statement, Williams expressed that his 10 years with the Quantic Dream team were extremely productive and that he met many talented developers. He also stated that he left the team to pursue his dream of establishing a new studio.

Background work on Star Wars Eclipse, announced in December 2021, is still ongoing. Although the game has been in development for about a year and a half, it has been reported that there is currently no playable version available. According to reports, the game’s release could potentially be in 2027 or 2028.
