Alan Wake 2: New Expansion Pack and Sales Success

Alan Wake 2, developed by Remedy Entertainment, continues to draw attention with its combination of thriller, horror, and shooter elements. Although the game, released last year, received generally positive reviews, it has not fully achieved the expected commercial success. However, recent reports indicate that the costs incurred for the game’s development are nearly being recouped.

Second Expansion Pack on the Way for Alan Wake 2

Alan Wake 2, Remedy’s fastest-selling game to date, has managed to sell over 1.3 million copies so far. Despite these impressive sales figures, it is still not sufficient to fully cover the game’s development and marketing costs. In the quarterly earnings report released by the development team, they mentioned the first expansion pack of Alan Wake 2, titled Night Springs, stating that a significant portion of the costs has been recovered.

On the other hand, Remedy and Epic Games announced that the physical Deluxe edition of Alan Wake 2 will be released in October, while the collector’s edition will be available in December. Additionally, a new expansion pack set to be released in October is also noteworthy. This DLC, called The Lake House, is being prepared for fans.

The beloved game Alan Wake 2 is currently available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC platforms.
