Following his arrest, it was confirmed that he would not face any charges, as the Paris prosecutor’s office stated, “the police custody order for Travis Scott has been lifted and all proceedings (against him) were terminated because the incident was minor.”
The rapper was apprehended early on Friday morning after law enforcement responded to a call at the Georges V hotel. Reports indicated that a man, identified by the nickname Travis Scott, was involved in a violent confrontation with a security guard. The hotel staff had intervened in the dispute between the artist and his bodyguard, leading to the police’s involvement.
During his stay in Paris, Scott was attending the 2024 Olympics and had been spotted enjoying the thrilling men’s basketball semifinal match where the United States triumphed over Serbia on Thursday night.
Travis Scott, born Jacques Webster, is celebrated as one of the biggest names in the hip-hop industry.
