Battery Capacities and Leaks of iPhone 16

The iPhone 16 is eagerly awaited as it approaches its release to users. However, as this anticipation continues, leaks regarding Apple’s high-end phones that will make a mark in 2024 have also started to increase. New information has emerged especially about the battery capacities of the Pro and Pro Max models.

According to a report from MacRumors, the well-known leak source Instant Digital has announced that the iPhone 16 Pro will come with a 3,577mAh battery. The larger iPhone 16 Pro Max will be equipped with a 4,676mAh battery. These capacities represent a notable increase compared to the previous generation iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max models. The iPhone 15 Pro has a capacity of 3,274mAh, while the capacity of the iPhone 15 Pro Max was determined to be 4,422mAh.

It seems that both models will feature larger batteries this year, with the increase in the Pro model being particularly noticeable. Earlier leaks indicated that the iPhone 16 Pro Max would have the same 4,676mAh capacity, while the capacity of the iPhone 16 Pro was claimed to be 3,355mAh. This new leak suggests a larger increase than previous claims.

Of course, it is possible that Apple has changed the phone designs during the development process. Such changes could explain the reasons for the differing battery capacities in the leaks. However, an increase in battery capacities does not necessarily mean longer battery life. Both the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max are said to feature larger screens of 6.3 inches and 6.9 inches respectively this year. Such design changes could increase the phone’s power consumption, thus impacting battery life calculations.
