Huawei has officially introduced its latest foldable smartphone, named nova Flip. As the first foldable device in the nova series, the nova Flip has a folding feature more akin to a compact flip phone compared to most foldable phones today. This allows users to carry the device with ease.

Huawei promotes the nova Flip not only as a tech device but also as a “bright accessory” available in many vibrant color options. This horizontally folding phone offers a small square screen on the outer surface, while it provides users with a wide viewing experience with a 6.94-inch internal OLED display when opened.

With a thickness of 6.88 mm and a weight of 195 grams when folded, the nova Flip has a highly advantageous design in terms of portability. Among the device’s hardware features is Huawei’s powerful Kirin 8000 chip, along with storage options of up to 1 TB. Additionally, the 4,400mAh capacity battery supports 66W fast wired charging, allowing users to charge quickly without wasting time.

On the back of the nova Flip, there is a 50 MP main camera alongside an 8 MP ultra-wide angle lens for versatile photography. Users can take impressive and high-quality selfies with the 32 MP selfie camera. Moreover, among the device’s striking features is a 2.14-inch OLED dual-function external display that can be used to view notifications and acts as a viewfinder for the rear cameras.

This foldable design is accompanied by a water droplet hinge that has passed 1.2 million rigorous bending tests, offering a compact yet wide screen experience. The nova Flip also holds the distinction of being the first device for Huawei’s new HarmonyOS operating system. The AI enhancements in the software enrich the user experience by providing useful capabilities such as removing people from images and text selection.

The nova Flip is available to users in eye-catching color options such as New Green, Sakura Pink, Zero White, and Starry Black.
