Punishments from BTK to Internet Service Providers
The Information Technologies and Communications Authority (BTK) announced that it has revoked the licenses of five internet service providers (ISPs) that reported incomplete or incorrect login records of their subscribers. This situation led to the loss of authorization documents for companies operating in Turkey, namely Arat Telekomünikasyon, Asil Fibernet, MyWifi, Merkez Wifi, and Poyraz Wifi.
At the same time, other major ISPs such as SuperOnline, TurkNet, and VodafoneNet also faced heavy penalties from BTK for various reasons. According to the news by Kemalettin BULAMACI, TurkNet stood out with a total of 13 violations, while SuperOnline had 7 violations and VodafoneNet was penalized for only 2 violations. The fines imposed on these companies amounted to millions of lira.
