Create Digital Twins with Meta’s New AI Studio
If you’ve ever dreamed of chatting with an AI clone, asking it questions, and receiving advice, Meta’s new AI Studio application aims to make that dream a reality for residents in the United States.
Meta’s AI Studio, currently available on web and Instagram platforms, is described as a space where “people can create, customize, and share AIs that they can chat with.” This platform allows users to create their own AI chatbots without needing any technical knowledge.
Meta has not yet announced when this new feature will be available to users outside the United States. However, this service is offered for free to users in the U.S. Users can design personal AI chatbots that can tell jokes, create interesting memes, and provide advice.
Perhaps the most striking aspect of AI Studio is that users can “create an AI that is a copy of themselves” to effectively create an AI secretary that can automatically respond to DMs and story replies. Users can request their AI characters to “use 1950s-era vocabulary” or “engage in various wordplay.” Additionally, they can provide specific instructions for the AI chatbot, such as constructing short sentences or never repeating itself, thereby defining its conversational style.
However, AI chatbots designed for professional Instagram content creators go beyond just providing ready-made responses. Meta states that the “long-term memory” of these chatbots allows them to remember previous conversations with the person interacting with the AI. This feature enables users to have a more personal and fluid interaction experience with the AI.
Interestingly, there is also a beta option called “Search.” This feature allows your AI twin to “pull information from the internet to make its responses more robust” and “share links to websites when relevant.” Meta’s AI Studio offers an intriguing perspective on how AI may evolve in the future.
In the near future, it seems these types of AI assistants will facilitate the work of many, from content creators to internet communication managers.
