What’s New in Travel Policies?

As part of its renewed focus on tourism, China is now unilaterally granting visa-free entry for up to 15 days to citizens from a variety of countries, predominantly from Western Europe, including France, Germany, and Spain. This program commenced in December and has been progressively expanding; recently, Australia, New Zealand, and Poland were added to the list of countries eligible for this benefit. This initiative is set to remain in effect until 2025.

Furthermore, citizens from over 50 countries, including the United States, can now take advantage of visa-free transit options. This means they can enter China for a period of 72 or 144 hours, depending on the specific port of entry, as long as they are heading to other destinations afterward.
