The adventure game Crypt Custodian, set in the enchanting world of Metrodivania, has been announced by publisher Top Hat Studios and developer Kyle Thompson. The game will be released on August 27 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and Steam for PC.

Crypt Custodian offers an intriguing experience that combines Metroidvania and Zelda-style elements focused on cleaning the afterlife. Players will take on the role of Pluto, a mischievous cat doomed to become the gatekeeper of the afterlife. However, this task marks the beginning of an adventure that will last forever!

In the afterlife environment, you will interact with other ghosts, fight various monsters, and explore a vast terrain. After a brief yet disastrous encounter with the Afterlife Guardian Kendra, you are exiled from the palace and bound to clean for eternity!

While exploring the expansive areas around the palace, defeat your enemies with your trusty broom and gain new abilities to expand your map. You must solve puzzles, uncover mysteries, and most importantly, devise a plan to return to the palace!
