Vivian Jenna Wilson Speaks Out Against Elon Musk

Vivian Jenna Wilson, the transgender daughter of billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk, made headlines this week when she candidly shared her experiences with her father, describing him as “uncaring” and “cruel” during her childhood. In an exclusive interview with NBC News, Ms. Wilson, now 20 years old, characterized her father as “cold,” “very quick to anger,” and “narcissistic,” revealing the emotional toll of his behavior on her development.

According to the interview, Ms. Wilson recounted how her father would often harass her for displaying traditionally feminine traits, pressuring her to conform to a more masculine appearance and even encouraging her to alter her voice as early as elementary school. This pressure contributed to a strained relationship between father and daughter.

Ms. Wilson’s statements came in direct response to controversial remarks made by Mr. Musk just days prior. In a live-streamed interview with Canadian psychologist Jordan Peterson, he referred to Ms. Wilson by her birth name—a practice known as “deadnaming”—and claimed she had been “killed by the woke mind virus.” He further asserted that he had been “tricked” into supporting gender-affirming care for her when she was a teenager.

In her interview, Ms. Wilson expressed her disdain for her father’s comments, stating they had “crossed a line.” She countered his claims by asserting that he had been fully aware of his decisions regarding her treatment at the age of 16. “He thought I wouldn’t speak out and would let this go unchallenged, but I refuse to allow such blatant lies about me to persist in front of millions,” she declared.

As of Friday afternoon, Mr. Musk had not responded to requests for comment regarding his daughter’s accusations. Ms. Wilson has generally maintained a low profile in the public sphere, with her most notable media appearance occurring in 2022 when she legally changed her name and distanced herself from her father. In court documents, she expressed that she no longer resided with Mr. Musk and did not wish to maintain any relationship with him, stating, “I do not wish to be related to my biological father in any way, shape, or form.”

During her recent interview, Ms. Wilson emphasized her independence, declaring, “I would like to emphasize one thing: I am an adult. I am 20 years old. My life should be defined by my own choices, not by my father’s actions or opinions.” This powerful statement encapsulated her desire to forge her own identity free from her father’s shadow.
