Israeli Airstrikes Target School and Hospital in Gaza

On Saturday, a series of Israeli airstrikes struck a school and a hospital located in central Gaza, escalating the ongoing conflict as negotiators from Israel prepared to engage with international mediators regarding a proposed ceasefire.

Tragically, at least 30 individuals who were seeking refuge at a girls’ school in Deir Al-Balah were reported dead after being transported to Al Aqsa Hospital. The Israeli military stated that the airstrikes were aimed at a Hamas command and control center, which they alleged was being utilized for weapon storage and planning attacks against Israel.

In addition to the casualties at the school, Gaza’s Health Ministry reported that at least 11 more people lost their lives in various other airstrikes throughout the day, highlighting the extensive toll of the ongoing violence in the region.
