Warner Bros. Games has announced the acquisition of Player First Games, the developer of the free-to-play platform fighting game MultiVersus. With this significant acquisition, the Player First Games studio will continue its operations under the leadership of co-founders Tony Huynh and Chris White.

MultiVersus Will Now Operate Under Warner Bros.

Following the acquisition, a new organizational structure was implemented within the company. Under this new arrangement, studio head Huynh and technology head White will report to Carlos Barbosa, vice president and studio head of Warner Bros. Games San Diego. This change aims to manage the studio more effectively.

Warner Bros. Games president David Haddad stated in a press release regarding the matter, “We have worked closely with Player First Games for several years to develop and launch MultiVersus. We are thrilled to welcome this talented team to Warner Bros. Games. The creative and dynamic team at Player First Games will make significant contributions to our development library.”

The fighting action game MultiVersus is currently available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Steam for PC platforms. The game offers a unique experience to players by bringing together different characters and is enriched with regular updates.
