OKX Wallet Adds Support for Toncoin (TON) Network
OKX recently integrated support for the Toncoin (TON) network, associated with the popular Telegram messaging app, into its OKX Wallet. This addition signifies the 100th protocol integrated into the wallet, aligning with OKX’s philosophy of “on-chain, any chain.”
OKX Wallet, a standalone Web3 product that operates independently from the centralized exchange (CEX), seamlessly integrates with OKX’s decentralized exchange (DEX).
Haider Rafique, Chief Marketing Officer at OKX, emphasized the platform’s commitment to offering a wide range of tokens and protocols while ensuring a curated experience for users. According to Rafique, the listing process at OKX prioritizes tokens with demonstrated demand and community engagement.
Market data from CoinMarketCap highlights TON’s popularity on OKX, ranking as the sixth most-traded coin on the platform. The introduction of new gamification features has notably increased trading activity for TON, attracting both utility-focused users and speculators.
Rafique noted that the gamification aspect of TON, particularly its network incentives and programs, has garnered significant interest among users. The token’s association with Telegram has also contributed to its appeal within the crypto community.
OKX Wallet previously expanded its capabilities by adding support for NEAR, Blast, and zkLink Nova chains. Additionally, the platform integrated Uniswap Labs’ trading APIs and launched a dedicated platform for Web3 game developers.
