On July 17, IoTeX unveiled its latest platform, designed to democratize access to decentralized physical infrastructure projects (DePIN). The Ethereum compatible blockchain platform is partnering with industry giants such as NEAR, Filecoin, RISC Zero, and Espresso to enhance data availability, storage, computation, and sequencing.
The IoTeX 2.0 platform introduces innovative features like DePIN Infrastructure Modules (DIMs) and Modularity Security Pool (MSP) aimed at reducing development costs and supporting the sustainable growth of DePIN projects. This initiative positions IoTeX as the premier decentralized hub for devices and data, catering to both human users and AI agents.
The Modularity Security Pool (MSP) is a significant addition, allowing DePIN layer-1s to leverage their Proof-of-Stake security for DIMs. This integration propels growth and sustainability within the ecosystem, offering projects exposure, liquidity, and validation as they progress. Furthermore, DePIN projects can transition to their own DePIN-specific L2 as they mature, establishing true sovereignty.
