During the penultimate running of the bulls in the vibrant city of Pamplona, seven dedicated runners were taken to the hospital for medical attention. Thankfully, none of them sustained injuries from the powerful bull horns, as reported by local media sources.
The exhilarating run lasted an impressive 2 minutes and 17 seconds, almost matching the duration of the previous year’s event. The six magnificent bulls from the prestigious breeder José Escolar’s ranch maintained a tight formation, charging at high speed, intensifying the thrill and danger of the spectacle.
The running of the bulls is a highlight of the annual Sanfermines festival, drawing a staggering 1 million enthusiastic visitors each year. The race takes place between the 7th and 14th of July along an 875-meter course, with six fierce fighting bulls leading the way.
Approximately 2,000 brave individuals participate in each race, embracing the adrenaline and tradition of this iconic event. Since 1910, a total of 16 individuals have tragically lost their lives during the running of the bulls, according to festival officials.
