Apple has been offering a maximum charging power of 20W on iPhone models for years, but according to new claims, they are planning to increase it to 40W with wired connection and 20W using MagSafe. Currently, existing iPhone models can charge up to 50% in about 30 minutes with a 20W charger. However, there are talks that Apple may take new steps in this area to balance the increased battery capacity for the iPhone 16 Pro with better charging speeds.

Although it is known that Apple adds new features to increase the battery life of iPhones, it is not yet clear how fast the iPhone 16 models can be charged. For example, with the arrival of iOS 18, it is expected that the iPhone 15 models will offer more detailed options in charge control, which can increase the battery life in the long run.

Battery Capacities of the New iPhone 16 Models:

  • iPhone 16: 3,561mAh
  • iPhone 16 Plus: 4,006mAh
  • iPhone 16 Pro: 3,355mAh
  • iPhone 16 Pro Max: 4,676mAh

Apple also plans to improve cooling in phones by adding a graphene-based thermal system. With increased battery capacity and better cooling, the development of fast charging options is also expected. These advancements could lead to positive results in terms of battery life and charging speed for iPhone users.
