Hallmark Channel Announces Hallmark+ Streaming Service
Discover the latest announcement from Hallmark Channel introducing the new Hallmark+ streaming service, offering even more heartwarming content for viewers to enjoy online.
Streaming has revolutionized the entertainment industry, but the Hallmark Channel has stood its ground with its dedicated and loyal audience, primarily consisting of older viewers. However, to adapt to the changing landscape, the family-owned company is venturing into the streaming world with the introduction of Hallmark+, a new stand-alone streaming service set to launch in September for $8 a month.
Hallmark+ aims to offer a unique experience for its subscribers, providing on-demand access to a vast library of classic content, including nearly 300 heartwarming Christmas films that have aired since 2002. In addition to the existing favorites, the service will feature exclusive new programming, such as holiday-themed mini-series and reality competition shows like “Finding Mr. Christmas.”
One of the standout shows on Hallmark+ will be “The Chicken Sisters,” a family drama infused with Southern charm and a dash of romance, based on a best-selling book. The service will be ad-free, ensuring uninterrupted viewing pleasure for subscribers.
Subscribers to Hallmark+ will also enjoy a range of perks, including monthly $5 coupons for Hallmark Gold Crown stores, complimentary greeting cards, access to exclusive live experiences like themed cruises and meet-and-greets with stars, as well as surprise gifts such as exclusive Christmas ornaments.
In a statement, Mike Perry, the president and CEO of Hallmark, expressed the significance of this new venture, stating, “This is a seminal moment for us. We remain dedicated to our traditional linear cable business, but the potential in the streaming market, combined with our strong brand and unique membership rewards, presents an exciting opportunity to connect with our audience in fresh ways.”
