With iOS 18, iPhone users will have important updates such as Apple’s Photos app and Control Center, as well as small but interesting changes like the new ‘Dynamic’ wallpaper. According to 9to5Mac, Apple, as with every major software update, offers a new default wallpaper for iOS 18.
The wallpaper used to be yellow, pink, sky blue, and purple. However, now a fifth option called ‘Dynamic’ wallpaper has been added. As the name suggests, this new wallpaper will change colors dynamically throughout the day and transition between different color options.
A leak source ShrimpApplePro shared a video showing how the new wallpaper works. The video demonstrates how the new wallpaper looks on the X model. Currently, it is not clear exactly what the wallpaper changes based on, but it seems to vary according to the time zone.
iPhone owners using the iOS 18 beta version will soon have more information on how the dynamic wallpaper works. Currently, access to the iOS 18 beta version requires a developer account, but the first iOS 18 public beta version is expected to be released before the end of the month.
In the past two years, Apple used to release the first public beta version on July 12th. Therefore, it is possible to say that the release of the iOS 18 beta version is very close.
