Australian Securities Exchange Welcomes DigitalX’s Bitcoin ETF
Discover the latest news as the Australian Securities Exchange embraces DigitalX’s Bitcoin ETF, opening up new investment opportunities in the digital currency space.
The Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) has added another bitcoin (BTC) exchange-traded fund (ETF) to its offerings. DigitalX’s Bitcoin ETF, trading under the ticker “BTXX,” has been introduced in collaboration with K2 Asset Management and Canadian digital assets company 3iQ. Notably, 3iQ was among the pioneers in launching crypto ETFs in Toronto back in 2021.
CEO of DigitalX, Lisa Wade, expressed the significance of this development stating, “Offering the DigitalX Bitcoin ETF to the Australian market is a watershed moment for DigitalX, and for the Australian digital asset investment market overall. Enabling Australians to invest in Bitcoin securely and affordably, without the need to manage digital wallets, will be a game-changer.”
This launch follows closely after the introduction of a bitcoin ETF on the ASX by VanEck, which mirrors its U.S.-listed equivalent. The U.S. bitcoin ETFs have seen a total net inflow exceeding $15 billion since their inception, indicating a strong demand for such investment products.
