The latest game in the series, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, was released earlier this year and received great acclaim.
Recently, significant changes have been made to the game style of the series, and in the West, the Yakuza name has been changed to Like a Dragon. This change has made the series more RPG-focused. While the Yakuza series was known for action games, with Like a Dragon, it has shifted its focus to turn-based role-playing games.

A live-action TV series project for the Yakuza series is also in progress. The series titled Like a Dragon: Yakuza consists of a total of 3 episodes. The first three episodes will premiere on October 25, and the final 3 episodes will be available on Amazon Prime Video on November 1.
