Leaks About Apple’s New iPad Models

After introducing the M4 iPad Pro and M2 iPad Air models recently, Apple continues to develop new iPad models. Some developers have discovered specific identifiers for the unreleased models by Apple.

• iPad16.1 – iPad mini 7th Generation Wi-Fi with A17 processor
• iPad16.2 – iPad mini 7th Generation Cellular with A17 processor
• iPad17.1 – 11-inch Pro Wi-Fi with M5 processor
• iPad17.2 – 11-inch Pro Cellular with M5 processor
• iPad17.3 – 13-inch Pro Wi-Fi with M5 processor
• iPad17.4 – 13-inch Pro Cellular with M5 processor

Although there are reports that Apple will introduce these models in the second half of 2024, information about the processors has also been leaked. For example, the use of A16 Bionic chip is expected in the new iPad 11 model, which means a significant performance increase compared to the current model. However, it may be insufficient for Apple Intelligence usage in the cheapest iPad model.

Furthermore, the use of A17 Pro chip is expected in the new iPad mini model. If this comes with Apple Pencil Pro support and artificial intelligence advantages, it could be one of the device’s biggest pros.
