Resetting to Factory Settings Issue on Pixel 6, 6 Pro, and 6A Phones
Solutions for the factory reset issue on Google Pixel 6, 6 Pro, and 6A phones. How to reset to factory settings while keeping your data on your phone?
According to information circulating on the internet, some users are reporting that after resetting Pixel 6, 6 Pro, and 6A phones to factory settings, the devices become unusable. According to a statement by a product expert on Google’s Pixel support forums, the company is aware of this issue and is working on it.
As mentioned in forum titles of the Indian tech organization Tech-Issues Today, users state that when they try to reset their phones, the device does not turn on and they receive an error message. The error message includes the following statement: “Android system cannot be loaded. Your data may be corrupted. If you continue to receive this message, you may need to reset to factory data and erase all user data stored on this device.”
The phone offers an option to retry the factory reset that was reported to fail, but encounters a separate error during the deletion process. The error message indicates that a file named tune2fs, used to adjust file system parameters on the phone, is missing.
