Israel issued a new round of evacuation orders for a large area in the southern Gaza Strip on Tuesday, leading to thousands of Palestinians fleeing once again for safety. The city of Khan Younis witnessed a significant exodus, highlighting the ongoing challenges faced by Gazans.

Gazans, who have experienced repeated displacements, were seen moving with their belongings on cars, trucks, and donkey carts. Some had to leave on foot, including hospital patients pushed in wheelchairs. Suzan Abu Daqqa, 59, expressed the frustration felt by many Gazans, questioning the cycle of evacuation and return.

The evacuation orders followed a rocket attack from Khan Younis by Palestinian militants, prompting Israeli military retaliation. The military stated that civilians were allowed to evacuate before the strikes. The United Nations estimated that around 250,000 people would need to leave southern Gaza to comply with the new orders, based on population data and observations.
