Midjourney is known as a popular artificial intelligence-powered image generator. However, it is noteworthy that it continues to generate images of Trump and Biden ahead of the upcoming US presidential elections and encounters some issues.

According to information available on the internet, when asked to generate an image of the “President of the United States” to Midjourney, it is stated that it produces images of former president Donald Trump in various styles. Similarly, when requested to create an image of the “next President of the United States,” it is observed that it still produces images of Trump.

It is known that Midjourney rejects these requests only when explicitly asked to generate an image of Trump or Biden. However, some users shared that it is possible to bypass Midjourney’s restriction on creating Trump’s images. This indicates that Midjourney’s measures to prevent generating images of Trump and Biden during the election period are inadequate.

Other artificial intelligence systems like OpenAI’s ChatGPT, Microsoft’s Copilot, Google’s Gemini, and Meta AI do not generate images of Trump or Biden despite prompts.

Midjourney stood out as one of the first artificial intelligence-powered image generators to explicitly prohibit creating images of Trump and Biden. The company’s CEO David Holz stated, “I know creating Trump images is fun – I create Trump images too,” but emphasized the need to be more careful during the election process.

This situation also highlights technology companies’ efforts to prevent deepfakes during elections. The absence of Midjourney’s measures in this regard is remarkable.
