Audi is Integrating Artificial Intelligence-Powered ChatGPT into Audi Vehicles with Collaboration of Microsoft Azure and OpenAI

Audi has announced that starting from July of this year, millions of Audi models will receive integration support for Microsoft Azure and OpenAI-powered ChatGPT. With this integration, Audi owners will be able to benefit from advanced voice control features.

Approximately 2 million Audi models produced since 2021 with MIB 3 will receive the ChatGPT integration update. In addition, new Audi models and future models with E3 1.2 electronic architecture will benefit from ChatGPT integration through Cerence Chat Pro.

Audi owners will now be able to control infotainment, navigation, and climate systems using voice commands. The ChatGPT-supported assistant can be used by saying “Hey Audi” or by pressing the talk button on the steering wheel. Moreover, the assistant will be able to perform vehicle functions such as turning on the air conditioning and answering general questions.

Audi also values user privacy. All questions and answers will be deleted after processing. In the future, Audi users will be able to ask more complex questions about their vehicles. For example, they will be able to access detailed information such as the correct tire pressure.
