Israel’s Prime Minister and President toured northern Israel’s border and met with military commanders on Wednesday as tensions with Hezbollah forces in Lebanon escalate.
Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister, shared a video on social media during his visit, emphasizing the Israeli forces’ determination and commitment to achieving victory.
The visits along the border came after Israel’s Defense Minister, Yoav Gallant, held meetings in Washington with senior Biden administration officials to seek a diplomatic solution to the tensions with Hezbollah.
The U.S. Secretary of Defense, Lloyd J. Austin III, expressed concerns during the meeting with Mr. Gallant, stating that Hezbollah’s provocations could lead to a devastating war that neither the Israeli nor Lebanese people desire.
Mr. Gallant mentioned that Israel is working towards an agreement while also focusing on enhancing security in the region and preparing for all possible scenarios.
