Amidst the ongoing conflict in Gaza, the humanitarian situation is worsening, with aid routes to deliver essential supplies becoming increasingly difficult. The United Nations has reported that the existing aid routes are becoming ‘unusable’, adding to the desperation of the displaced Palestinian population.

Israel recently announced daily pauses in fighting to allow aid delivery along a route from Kerem Shalom to Khan Younis. However, these “tactical pauses” have not brought significant relief as armed groups are obstructing aid convoys, hampering the distribution of food, water, and medical supplies to the estimated 1.3 million Palestinians in central Gaza.

Thousands of truckloads of aid are awaiting delivery, highlighting the urgent need for a ceasefire and the reopening of the Rafah crossing to facilitate the flow of aid into the region.

On another front, the Israeli Defense Forces reported the deaths of two soldiers in a Hamas attack in central Gaza on Thursday. This unfortunate event has raised the military death toll to 314, underscoring the continued violence and loss of life in the conflict.
