On June 20, Farworld Labs, a pioneering gaming company from Farcaster, successfully closed a pre-seed funding round of $1.75 million. The round was co-led by Lemniscap and Variant. The funds will accelerate the release of upcoming Q3 projects, including the highly anticipated launch of the Farcade platform. The Farcade platform, built on decentralized social media protocols, aims to revolutionize gaming by enabling developers to create crypto-native games that seamlessly integrate with onchain social media, allowing games to be instantly playable within social feeds with a single click.

Celo Foundation Announces Key Leadership Appointments

The Celo Foundation recently made strategic leadership changes, appointing Eric Nakagawa as the new Executive Director. Nakagawa will work alongside Rene Reinsberg to oversee the Foundation’s daily operations. Additionally, Isha Varshney has transitioned to the role of Head of Ecosystem, responsible for managing projects on the Celo platform and leading business development efforts with both Web2 and Web3 companies. The Celo Foundation has also welcomed Sophia Dew as the Developer Relations Lead to support builders working on the emerging Ethereum L2 ecosystem.
