Last week, as you know, Capcom officially announced the new version of Dead Rising, Deluxe Remaster. This version will have updated graphics, features, a new user interface, controls, and much more. Along with its features, it has been confirmed that the voice actor from the original version of the game will not be present in the remastered version.

Dead Rising’s original voice actor for Frank West will not be involved in any way in the Deluxe Remaster set to be released on September 19. According to a Twitter user FrankByDaylight, a user on Instagram asked voice actor Terence J. Rotolo why he was not included in the revamped version. Rotolo stated that Capcom did not request his involvement for such a project.
It is unclear why Rotolo was not rehired. This incident is similar to Alyson Court, who portrayed Claire Redfield in Resident Evil 2 and continued to do so in the next five games but was not part of the remake of Resident Evil 2.
On the other hand, Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster is powered by Capcom’s proprietary RE Engine. The new version will feature an automatic save system, updated controls, improved user interface, stunning graphics, and much more.
