Tesla’s Cybertruck Price Changes
According to Jalopnik, Tesla has decided to halt the sales of the RWD Cybertruck, its most affordable version priced at $60,000, which stands out with its striking design and sharp lines. With this development, it seems the company has also raised the price of the new generation AWD Cybertruck by $20,000, bringing it to $100,000. With these two changes, the starting price of the vehicle has risen from $40,000 to $100,000.
The three-motor version, Cyberbeast, which has more torque and a higher maximum speed than the standard four-wheel drive version of the Cybertruck, also faced a similar price increase, reaching $119,990. Considering Tesla’s statement in 2019 that the Cybertruck would start at $40,000, the new prices can be said to evoke an even more negative sentiment.
However, in a positive development, we observe that the company has improved its vehicle delivery times. Tesla plans to deliver the AWD Cybertruck to customers between August and September 2024, while indicating the period for Cyberbeast as October-December 2024. Previously, it was expected that these orders would be delivered in 2025.
